Would it be weird to use tile in a small bedroom closet? The bedroom itself will be carpet and the closet has a door on it. I was thinking about using tile in the closet because it is hard to fit a vacuum inside. I would extend the carpet to just under the door so the tile would not show. My wife says she has never seen one done like that and it would be weird. Thoughts?

I'm going to use carpet in my basement bedroom closet.
It's not like much dirt gets in there. I've always had no problem getting the vacuum power head in there.

That said, there's nothing wrong with it that I can think of. Easy maintenance is always good.

Either one would be fine. Carpet would be less work to install.

About that... The closet is about 2 feet deep. One side goes into a triangle shaped corner with a 45 degree angle to it. Would the triangle make it harder to install carpet or tile?

No big deal to cut an angled tile.
