I have a toilet in the basement that I want to remove and regain the floor space. It is a cast iron flange in concrete. If I break up the concrete, can I:

1. Cut the cast iron with a sawz-all?

2. Cap the pipe with a No-Hub or Fernco cap and fill it in with new concrete?

Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can cap it---See if you can remove the 90* at the hub---you will go through a LOT of Saws All blades cutting cast iron---Might be cheaper to rent a chain snapper ----Mike---
