Seems I have a minor infestation recently, outside the back door. The area is a cement patio and they seem very attracted to where the cement meets the edge of the house at the corner where the door opens. They also crawl up the siding at that corner of the house, and on the glass of the door. I live in central Texas and it has started to get hot here, if that helps anyone to identify these critters. We are running the AC.
They measure approx 1/8 inch, mostly round shaped, bordering on teardrop shape. Black or very dark color. Deep red blood color when squeezed. They move at approx one inch per second.
