Just moved into a new house. The front door has a nice looking handle on the outside but inside is a very little knob-type handle. I have arthritis and between that and the tightness of the door, I cannot open it even with two hands.
Is it possible to buy just a replacement lever handle and switch the knob out?
Are the sizes standardized?

If you get the same manufacture, you should be able to.

If it was me, I'd remove the inside handle and make a trip to Home Depot or Lowes.

As a side note, I think I'd also be looking at why it's so hard. Maybe the strike plate needs a little 'trimming'.

I fiddled with the strike plate a little. I suspect the door is a little off somehow. No time at the moment to dig into that potential problem. Maybe in a few weeks I can get to it after the boxes are unpacked and I know where the silverware drawer is. :)

Yeah for sure who needs silverware to eat chili-dogs?

Just get a large vise-grip pliers , clamp them on that tiny knob.

Instant lever handle.

Actually there is many aftermarket levers made just for us old people to use, so I am sure that you can get a replacement knob for the door.
