Hey all...I will try and attach a pic, basically knee wall is really low. Can I put the wall unit on the cathedral/sloped ceiling? I assume I will need to creat a “shelf” by dropping 2x4 down at 90 to floor and mount unit to that...but that will make the area between the unit and the wall very tight due to the angle. Any input appreciated

Wall unit as in a minisplit indoor wall mount?
No, the indoor unit has to be level and at a 90° angle to the floor. Can’t be sloped forward like that.

Thanks...I know it can’t be sloped / on the wall directly. But if I dropped 2x4’s down from the cathedral side so that they hung 90 to the floor would that be ok? Like in this pic. I’m just worried that the angle at the air intake will effect performance.

Nice "photo shopping". I like it. I think your plan would probably work fine, although the unit would probably work better if it were mounted above that window so that it can blow the "long way" across the room. If it were me, I'd try to figure out a way to make that work, rather than rigging up the weird angled bracket do-hickey thing that you're planning to make.

Its actually not photoshopped! I found that on the internet when trying to figure out how to do it....you can even see the braces underneath if you look closely. So the pic is just for reference. I should just go with ceiling cassettes, just cost a lot more
