My 10 year old house has Anderson wood double hung windows throughout. I am having two problems in my bedroom.
1) When the wind is high, the sound is like a freight train.
2) When it is really cold outside water condenses on the windows and freezes, probably because I leave the blinds closed.
I figure both problems can be fixed with storm windows in place of the existing screens. We haven't opened these windows in 3 years, so the losing the screens is not a problem.
So...
1) Can I do this? Somewhere I heard that moisture can get between the windows and cause damage, but don't know how important this is.
2) If I can do it, where would I get the windows?
3) Anything I need to know about potential problems?
