This is my first time here so I am hoping someone knows the answer to my question. Own a 2007 manufactured home with white ( simulated wood grain) interior and exterior doors, They are to the point that nothing will clean them, so I would like to repaint them white again. However because they are pre-finished and not really wood, I don't have a clue what to use. All doors in the home are of the same material even the closet doors. Can someone advise me?

Zinsser 1-2-3 primer, then topcoat with your favorite paint. Doors usually are done in a semi-gloss for easy cleaning.
The 1-2-3 primer provides a good bond to whatever is on there now. It's possible you could skip the primer if you sand the doors enough to dull them up a bit to give the paint something to bite onto.
