Hi Folks,
I have a rather interesting problem: Moved into house with flat roof 7 years ago with my family and 2 cats.
Flat roof is covered with some sort of insulation foil and gravel on top of it.
Cats claimed roof to themselves and spend lots of time there observing. Recently I went up to fix a antenna and realized that observing is not the only thing they do there, they also use roof as a toilet.
It does not really bother us since we feel absolutely nothing after many years and better there then in the garden but I wonder: Can cats poop and pee cause actual damage to roof material / insulation foil?
Looked up on Internet and found nothing, people complain about smell etc but damage? Nope. Asked roof maker nearby he told me he has no idea, so does anyone know any cases where poop/pee caused physical damage?
Thanks
