Kitchen Sink: The exterior width of the FLANGE of a standard, surface-mount double sink is 33." however, the side-by-side width of the sinks (as measured from under) is aprox. 30"). Problem: I, absolutely, need to stay with a 30" wide base cabinet. Any comments/suggestions (don't suggest going to a 24" w single sink)-- I need a double sink. --Any SURFACE-MOUNT double sink that is less than the standard 33" wide --- and that cost less than $400? ---Jaes.

The inside dimension of a 30" wide cabinet is 29" assuming 1/2" plywood sides. Cut the sides out down to below the depth of the sink.
