I have the 50/50 LED Rope lights with the clear/transparent plastic cover over then and I need to install them under a bar "lip" where there is no depth or space to use the traditional "rope light clips".

Can 3M 77 Spray Adhesive be used to glue the LED Rope Lights to the wooden "lip" of my bar?

Here are the rope lights in question:

It wouldn't hurt them but I don't really believe it would work either. In order for it to be effective it needs a good contact area and since those lights are in a circular tube you would only have minimal contact area with adhesive. You would be better off using some type of clear adhesive that has a thicker consistency so it could contact a larger area on the LED rope.

I hope the OP can smell the troll. Tape light comes with an adhesive on the back that holds very well. I've never gotten a call back on it and have been installing it for years
Oh tape light! I missed it. I apologize. That doesn't make me a troll. I am misunderstood but not a troll.

Without the tube around the strip, how well does it stand up to salt water corrosion?

Thank you for the help but the rope light "outer transparent cover" is not round
but "square" so it would be a flat surface against the bar lip inner "ceiling".
