I put in new bearings and races in my wheel hub (all right way) but just can’t get my wheel hub back on flushed to a speedi sleeve. So I’m getting a axle oil leak , it’s on like 1/8 or 1/4. Put the hub on and tighten the center nut as much as I could but it won’t go the way it was. Turned hub when tightening and tightened more, it’s like won’t go on flushed. It’s a 2011 Silverado 2500hd wt. I’m stuck , frustrating.

I put in both new bearings and races, what do you mean push to keeper ring. One bearing and race is tight to a snap ring. Other bearing is on a race by the seal but that bearings has little play. Or would you like pound that race so the bearing is up against the seal ?

You put the inner bearing in from the outside and then put a spring clip behind it, then you turn it over and push that inner bearing back against that ring clip.
I may have mixed up which bearing it was, it was 20 years ago I worked on one.
I found this , go to 16:50

Wow thank you, do I tap the bearing or tap the race to the snap ring. I did not do this part.hopefully this works and the hub will go on more.
I don't remember what the tool was, i was the helper and my friend would not shut up about how important it was. A brass punch would be handy.
What did he use in the video?
