So I'm buying an open box(no box) mircrowave form an appliance place that has so so reviews. I know I'm taking my chances but I'm willing. It's a Bosch drawer microwave that goes for ~$1,500 new and getting it for $700. They do have 90 day warranty at the place but not sure what good that'll do if they are tough place to deal with.

They said it's not refurb or used. Is there anything I can can do besides turn it on and make sure everything works to ensure that there not trying to get over? How can I make sure it's getting hot and heating properly without putting something the microwave which I'm sure they won't allow. Thanks

Actually might do some of these things.

Well, your moniker should tell that you could take it home, install it and live long and prosper. Tough call with it sitting in a store.

I would additionally be sure there is an available source for any missing parts before purchasing. So you are confident that if you find missing mounts or whatever later, you can obtain them relatively easily.
