@Jeff S.
wants to know

Hi, I'm looking to build a playhouse, I'm building it 5foot off the ground, wondering if I can use 8 4×4 treated posts with two 2×6 treated planks on each 4×4 to support it, will that work and be safe, it will be 10' wide by 8' deep with 3' overhang for balcony? TIA.

Not sure how you posted to a closed thread but here we are.

I would use 6x6 posts 8 ft with 3' in the ground and notch the top for the 2 ply beam .
Angle bracing under the overhang to be sure a crowd can't over weigh it.
