I am building a simple lean against outside carpot, attached under eave. .Nothing fancy and it wont be fully enclosed ..Its 10 ft wide and i have the hangers 16 on center.Going to use regular roofing shingles 3 tab. .
I know the pitch is to be at least 3/12 but i wanted to know since it wont be receiving the rain from the garage roof its attached to(it has its own gutter),if i can get away with a 12 inch drop for the 10 ft .
I attached the piece of wood just to eyeball it at 12 inches, before installing support /hangers to the row of posts..
The higher i can go and it work the better ..
.back panels in pic are temporary and i havent cut down the 4 bys yet ,,theres a row of post along side for the other joists support not seen in pic..

Any info is appreciated

I would agree with Bondo not to use shingles. You can go as low as 2/12 but not 1.2/12.

The half lap is not a bad option although in my area its kind of gone away. Other options are an SBS cold application or on the low end a #90 roll.

Thanks.
-.so the pitch i have in pic will give me a lot of problems then ?
such as? too slow drainage/water back up,leaks if shingled at that pitch.?..
Its only about 16 ft long /10 ft wide/near 8 ft high at garage .

You would far better off to rethink how you tie this into the garage.
Tie into the roof instead of the wall and it will be far less likely to leak, give you more slope, and far easier to install the roofing.

If you're dead set against using shingles, I'd cover the entire structure with Ice&Water barrier and then use shingles over the top. Consider that on such a low pitch, you probably can't even see the shingles from ground level, so rolled roofing might be the better option functionally.
