I was attempting to pull off the front of my single faucet shower handle and the guy at Home Depot told me it screwed on. So I found a huge pipe wrench and I did get it off...but to my horror I also broke it and now have NO IDEA how or even what I should do next. Was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

The one pic shows where it broke and the other shows what kind of faucet it was. If you have any advice I would appreciate it!

That looks like it will need to be replaced. How is the access on the other side of the wall? You have a shower enclosure there, it looks like, and you want to avoid having to remove that.

You need to call someone who can fix this. It is pretty clear that you are in way over your head and have no chance in repairing this.
In the future, do not listen to anything said in a Home Depot.
The common sense approach would have been to look at the escutcheon plate for the name of the manufacturer and go online for the disassembly instructions.

My kitchen cabinets are on the other side of the wall. I suspect that I will need to call someone and have them come in and fix it! Thank you for the help though....

Did I mention that I seem to be short on "common sense?" I can't believe that I even listened to him...but I do know that there is no way that I can repair this one on my own! My fear is we will have to tear out the shower and a lot of pipe to get this fixed. Thank you for the advice though...I only wish that I had found you before today...

looks like its going to be a perfect time to change to cement board and ceramic tile instead of the shower surround. Unless you can enter thru those kitch cabinets ,,, make a take out chunk of cabinets

OR a back splash access hole OR both!! You can make it look good.

So could I have them cut out a portion of the shower wall and replace it with a piece of back splash? The shower and tub are all one piece...

NO,,,I meant the backsplash area of the kitchen cabinet side. Measure it out ,height and all and see where it comes on kitchen side. some sort of access is always GOOD. What kind of countertop do you have? . If all else fails take a ice pick and try sticking it thru from faucet side and see where it comes out,depending on whats on kitchen side. or a small wire that is easy to fill hole. If its a one piece tub shower you HAVE to come from back side to fix it,,,unless you wanna replace whole tub shower combo. Hope its easier than is sounds.

A competant plumber should be able to switch out the shower body through the hole you have in the surround.
Keep the instructions that come with the new unit.
