I am trying to get to the cartridge to replace. Took the little center cap, Removed center screw. Unable to remove the temperature dial to get to the rest. How do you get there?

Is the main picture on page 7 what you're looking at? If so, that part numbered "1" should pull straight off the splines behind it.
