10+ yr old Bradford White water heater stopped working. 1 plumber said the blower/motor is broken. Current blower motor is Jackel #117524-00 and 1150519-00. Getting all sorts of advice as I assess who should fix this - does it require an HVAC specialist? can a general plumber fit it? Parts also seem hard to locate - one plumber estimating 10 days! Does machine require a Jackel product. And finally, most importantly, what's a good price on the parts. Thanks if anyone can weigh in with advice.

Same blower, but it's slow not dead

I have exactly the same blower motor on a 15-yr-old Bradword White 30 gallon water heater. It hasn't died yet, but over the past two weeks the motor has become very slow to start up. It hums and strains and turns lazily and then finally kicks in at full speed. What would cause this? (And to the person who started this thread, did yours do that before conking out?)
