I'm installing a 6" recessed can in our master bath. The electrical box reads "maximum of 8 no. 12 awg through branch circuit conductors 4 in and 4 out".
The box contains the hot, neutral and ground for the fixture itself. If I have one 12/2 romex line in and two 12/2 romex lines out (running to other can lights) I count 7 towards box count (3 hots + 3 neutrals + 1 for grounds) from the wires I am adding...but does the fixtures hot and neutral also get counted? If they do, it would put me over the top at 9.
