Hello all. Got a price on Wuncore windows that are either black exterior only or black exterior and interior. Not all windows come with this black. .Softlite Barington does not
Can any recommend something that comes in black(the trim I referring to) that might be a little cheaper from Wincore? Thanks.

You want black windows? That is certainly in "fashion" these days, but I am not sure how much staying power there is with that or if it fits every aesthetic. I think it is a bit over used these days to be honest.

We did a couple houses with black windows, one was just painted black and you could hardly handle them with out scratching the paint. The other house the vinyl itself was all black and dealing with them was just like any other window.

Windows are 20+ year installations but IMO black will be a shorter trend even if you stay there. If you sell before end of life my guess is black will limit the buyers who are interested or reduce what they will pay.

Yea I think your right and my wife actually agrees. Think we'll go with white.

I agree. It's really popular around here and I liked it when I first saw it but I'm pretty much over it. I don't think it will have the staying power of white. Perhaps a business angle for future contractors to paint window frames.

I wonder if black vinyl gets chalky over time, like the white stuff does.

I'd be leery that black vinyl could warp with the heat that it will attract.

There are almost zero black (through and through) lineals. The vast, vast majority of black vinyl windows are via an applied paint. These newer paint coating have a thermal rejection component built into them.
