Beware of the Elm Tree

I dug out a foundation yesterday and could not believe the havoc a tree 60’ away can cause.

My sidewalk is lined with them at only 30’ out.

I did not think there were any left

There are not many. There is one in my neighbor's yard that is 100+ years old and it's one of only a hand full in our town that survived the Dutch elm disease.
