I have a wooden bar (somewhat similar to the picture attached) that I want to mount to the basement floor. The floor carpeted with a concrete floor beneath. I'd prefer to not cut out the carpet, but there's not a lot of solid wood on the bar to use for driving screws in. Does anyone have a good idea of how to mount this so the kids won't knock it over?

Pressure treated frame with either powder nailed to concrete or drill and use heavy duty nailed anchors. The last you will need a Hammer drill.

Bar attaches to frame with nails or screws, with molding to hide the attachment to the frame.

Trying to drill though a carpet and your likely catch a thread and ruin the rug.
How about a picture of your bar on the back side not a stock picture.
Should have been built so there was a way to attach it.

If you choose to go with the anchors, you would have to cut the carpet where the holes will be drilled, which you can mark with some paint or chalk for a chalk line, then cut the small area that you will have to drill with.

Just remember that you are firing a .22 Cal. gun basically. That means keeping it against the wood and do not let it jump up on you. Practice with it first, before committing to the job.
