Just purchased a home in which an Indian family lived in and totaly wrecked - one of the major things im trying to improve on is the general smell in the house

everything has been cleaned, including the walls, carpet, and just recently the air ducts - but the smell of curry? still remains

maybe there is a commercial grade deodorizer i can spray?

Maybe you should acquire a taste for curried foods! Then, when its YOUR curried food smell, it won't bother you so much!

Just kidding!

I would think that the method would be similar to cleaning a place up after tobacco smokers have been in residence.
There are paints that can be used to suppress odors. You could paint through with this. All the trim and cupboards would need painting also.
If you have heating ducts, perhaps a duct cleaning business could clean these for you!
