I asked this in the tool section, but I didn't get any response. I'm hoping in here I might get some suggestions. I am starting to put some new outlets into my 1951 bungalow style home. I am shooting from the basement and only am going about 12" up from the floor with the outlets. It is going to be far easier to drill down through the outlet wall hole, I'm just not sure what the best bit/extension setup is going to be.

I must say, drilling up from the basement/crawl will still be MUCH easier.

The hole would be at like a 30-45 Degree angle coming through the floor tho?

Just plan the path of the hole well.

I use a spade bit with a long extension to get the least angle.

I use a short stubby bit and a right angle drill. Straight shot into the stud cavity.

This is the way to go. But a right angle drill isn't useful for much else. So if you're a DIYer, I suggest buying a right angle adapter and putting in on a regular drill. They're only about $20 at the big box stores.
