Looking for some ideas or suggestions for types of ground cover. I am open to internet nurseries as well.

Ground cover for a rock garden. Full sun.

What type of groundcover??
Bark nuggets, mulch, stone, or plants - how high?

I just use phlox
Until it grows in & covers the area I add mulch
Pink white or purple flowers

A few to try:

Moss Sedum (can spread aggressively)
Ajuga ("Chocolate Chip") (doesn't dry-out as easily in summer)
Golden Creeping Jenny (invasive but pretty)
Stokes Aster
Creeping Thyme
