Hello,

We are doing a house renovation on Long Island and we are relocating the clothes dryer to the second floor. Right now we have electric appliances minus the gas hot water heater and boiler. Is there any benefit to switching over to gas appliances?

Thanks,

Pat

You have the big ticket items, WH & heating boiler, on gas. Gas is cheaper than electric but the payback to install gas connections for a stove and dryer would be long. Plus the cost of new appliances.

All good points. I guess I need to first see what my kw/hr and btu/hr costs from the utility companies are to see if it's worth switching over for the use cost..
