I have a beckett oil burner. I have this int. problem. At times the furnace does not light off. I have troubleshoot the problem down to the cleancut pump. The question I have is I don't know if the problem is the pump or the solinoid. If I tap on the pump the furnace will run.

check wire connections to solenoid..may be loose and make contact when tapped..could also be sticking solenoid. if so replace it.
