Hi I am removing a wall and want to replace it with a glue lam, or micro lam beam just wondering what size to use I want to create a open look so I would like to go wider rather then deeper just to give a little info the span is about 13 feet. The attic is above it and the ceiling joist do brake on it. There is also the heat/air conditioner handler that sits on it. The roof is about a 5/12 so I thought that some day it may be used for storage. I do have some random plywood up there now and with the handler I will not be able to cut the ceiling joist back and hang the like I wanted to. Thanks for any help.
