I need to install bead boards (5" wide) tong/grove over drywall that has metal studs. Suggestions for best method would be appreciated. Several rooms; probably 150 boards that will be 48" high with a chair rail and base added.

Construction adhesive and finish nails shot into the tongue until it sets. Occassional face nailing as needed.

Or staples, a bit more holding power in the drywall....

You may need to remove some drywall to install some solid blocking. In the end, this may be the best option and the finished product will not be at the mercy of the material warping or twisting.

Thank you all for your suggestions. The staples and adhesive is what I plan to use, with some screws into the metal studs periodically. The chair rail and base should hold things together pretty well.
