I actually didn't know they existed until I looked. On the HD website, all but one are single stage. I only have brief experience with a corded single stage for the deck and walkway and it wasn't good, but we live in a snowbelt. The one review I did see said they won't handle impacted snow (like at the end of the driveway) which probably means they won't do well with wet snow, and their advertised 'throw distance' is only about 20'.
The review also mentioned that they had 'push button start'! Who knew.

Edit to Add: I would wonder about their longevity and the cost of inevitable battery replacement. The gas blower I have is about 20 years old and the one it replaced was older. I can still get parts. Battery powered anything are much more manufacturer-specific.

In a climate where 2 inches of snow is a lot it would probably do. In serious snow country I have doubts. Moving snow is a lot of work for batteries, batteries usually do worse in cold weather, and summer is a long down time for the batteries. No direct experience but I wouldn’t buy one.

Looking to clear the upper trex deck, 10 by 50 feet. It can get anywheres from 6..36+ inches of snow.

If it's 6" of dry snow you might get away with it. More or wetter then perhaps not. That was my thinking behind buying a corded single stage; to clear our composite deck (about 16x22). The first couple of snows were about 6-8" and it wouldn't handle it. I don't remember the brand.

My experience is that if one of those single-stage blowers can handle it, it's probably easier to just use a broom. And although I've never tried, if the snow is that light and dry, then maybe a leaf blower would work to clear a deck.

I have the EGO battery powered snow blower and it works great for my townhouse driveway (about 8' x 40') here in the mid Atlantic. It'll handle the typical 4" to 6" we get with ease, even if it is wet and throws it good and far, too. And the machine is light enough that I can carry it up to my elevated deck when necessary. The batteries have been very reliable so far. I also have their leaf blower which is another outstanding tool. I got mine a few years ago when there weren't many other choices. Now there seem to be a bunch of different brands with competing models. I suspect some of these might be OK, too.

EGO batteries are top notch, but expensive. The snow blower comes with a pair of 5Ah batteries. It'll run on one or use both for longer run time. The batteries also work in their other tools.
