it depends on how high you want the lavaratory. short people 18". tall folks go 20" if you are going to go to a store and buy a pre-built unit then do so and dry fit it and see for yourself. if it is a wall hung lav use the 18-20 range. thanks, bb
Don't forget that your basement drains must be vented. Vent can be tied into the existing stack but where it connects to the existing stack must be 42" above the highest fixture on that stack. If it is a 2 story you must tie in above the second floor sink (42" above the floor). No vent is what most home inspectors find right off when you try to sell your house.
