So, I am doing a remodel, and had to move the drains a little bit...

So, I cut the old cast iron pipe and am replacing with PVC.. I know that PVC to PVC I used the primer and them glue...

I am using FERNCO connectors to go from CI to PVC. My question is do I have to use Primer and Glue on the FERNCO where the PVC is connected? Or is the bare connection fine?

Thanks!

some people like to use a foundation tar just for peace of mind especially if it is in a ceiling or somewhere that if it leaked it could cause problems. Most of the time they just tighten down tight on the clamps. be careful not to overtighten though or you will mess up the clamps.
