Bathroom light height

I'm currently adding a basement bathroom. Is there a standard height for a wall mounted octagon box for a bathroom vanity light?

Also, does it have to be right center or do the wide vanity lights allow you room to move it side to side?

Thanks!

Not really. It all depends on the height of the vanity and the height of the mirror. Many basement bathrooms will have a low ceiling due to ductwork/plumbing being directly above so you would have to go with sconces or overhead lighting.

Thanks guys. I have about 96 inches to my ceiling so I put it at about 80 inches high, centered to the vanity.
