Has anyone come up with a newer option than those suggested in a older message string for installing a receptacle in a cabinet drawer?
My installation will be used by my wife for a curling iron in the bathroom.

Do you really want a hot curling iron left on in a closed drawer?

In addition, the constant movement of the Romex could weaken it at certain points.

Here’s one type.

At that price, get one for each drawer

At that price you can cut a rec. into the back of the drawer, get a coiled extension cord, cut the end off, wire it into your new rec. and plug it into a rec. in the bottom of the vanity. Not permanent installation, so AFAIK....legal.

And you can really do it for each drawer, and have enough money left to take your wife out to a nice dinner.

That docking drawer receptacle only delivers 3 amps.

It’s power limited to prevent fires or other accidents that might be caused by a curling iron or other strong heat sourceS.

It is intended for charging electronics.

FYI, such an installation does not preclude the requirements for basin receptacles in bathrooms.
