I'm looking for a faucet / bath / shower control that I thought I saw a long time ago that had a feature that allowed a user to run hotter water than was normally allowed.

So a parent could run a hotter bath for themselves, but a child would be unable to do so.

Now, when I search for the item, I can't find one. Can anyone point me to where this item might be found?

Thanks,

Grohe makes such a valve, but the high limit (on override) is supposed to be set at the max allowed by the state, so when the handle is turned up against the limit stop, the water will be somewhere around 100*F; press the button an turn it up to 115*F (+/-).

The limit stop on most valves can be overridden permanently, but of course you run the risk of scalding someone.
