I am putting my dryer in the basement and I need to vent it outside. I'd rather not cut a hole in the wall if I can avoid it.

My basement window openings measure 21" x 32-1/2" and I would be attaching to block or brick, depending on where the window sits.

Finding such a window has turned into more trouble than I would have expected.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing and have and lessons learned they can share?

We have multiple window manufacturers in our area. They will make a vinyl window to whatever size you need. I have rental properties and they make me a basement sized window where 1/2 has a 4 inch hole for a dryer vent and the other half is fixed glass. I have also seen guys use glass block (kind of like bricks mortared together) and leave one glass block out and pass the dryer vent thru there.
