Everytime we get a heavy rain, my basement is flooded. It is a finished basement, so around the window sill the drywall is bubbled up and tearing apart. We have had a crack in the foundatoin in the past that was in the same area, but I figure the water would be running down and coming out at the floor if this was the problem, So at this point we are just wondering if it could be the foundation or a window/ window well problem...

Next time it rains, look at the window well and see if it fills up. Look at the sill now and see if there's any debris on the concrete or water marks on the wood.
Look at the grading and see if it slopes away or toward the house.
Is the window recessed under the house or flush with the house side?

Does the window well have a drain?

How old is the house?

Do you have a sump pump that is attached to outside perimeter drains?
