Is it acceptable by code (Ontario) to have completely bare concrete (no black car, no plastic, nothing 1-2ft below the soil line?
How about not pulling up the weeping tile lines (that exist) into the window wells??
(may sound silly... explanation I had is they put them there 'in case they need them' -- apparently they don't think they need them but the window wells are installed with gravel poured in....)
New build survey and having dirt pushed around in three configurations... the current level is much higher up the wall than the original. All the grading is screwed up and being addressed.... but I strongly suspect they messed up foundation levels,etc. with a couple adjacent homes sitting 3-4ft higher easy and are going for the band aid fix.
Seems the only way to get things done is to 'talk code'.
