Hi.

I'm in the process of finishing my basement and I'm including a full bathroom. I'm wanting to use Roxul Sound insulation for sound proofing as much as possible in the basement. I live in Winterpeg Manitoba if this helps.

My question is how best to seal or not to seal the bathroom. I'm planning on doing a tub with tile around tub as well as tiles on floor and tiles behind sink wall (possible opposite wall not sure yet).

I have heard people saying to use 6mil poly and greenboard and others say not to use it.

The image link below is my bathroom design idea.

This image link below is for the bathroom ceiling. Not sure if I need option#2 or not.

What do you guys suggest I do.

Thanks
