My carpenter installed baseboard flush to the floor < 1/4". Is this a big deal or something the carpet installers deal with this often. We are installing berber.

Any of the installers if ever used had me install it 1/2" off the sub floor so they could tuck it in under it to make it easier for them.
But for sure it can also be done with it tight to the floor.
