I am looking to buy some hardwood for a cement slab home. I have a child in a wheelchair and dogs. I am wanting to buy bamboo flooring for its durability and non stainability. Does anyone have any comments on this type of wood floors.

I'd suggest more research because many have been mislead with the durability factor and bamboo floors. On the other hand strand woven bamboo could be a good choice not only for increased durability but the appearance that may prove better at hiding incidental scratches.

There are also laminate bamboo floors worth looking into.

bamboo is soft and will dent very easily from the wheelchair and the dog. Oak is a better choice.

I'd go with a darker wood, as it will be less likely to stain, and be much more durable than your standard bamboo flooring. Check out this sample:
