Ok here's my problem. My two 7 year old boys turned off the main breaker...I'm talkin about the one outside on the pole under the meter. They did this twice. Now the electric in about half of my house won't come on. I have reset breakeers, unplugged everything, and I still can't figure out what happened. I have read and think I may possible have a bad breaker but I would actually have about 3 bad and on 2 of them that run two different things, such as one breaker with 2 switches that one runs the dishwasher and the other runs the range, only one swiitch of the 2 is bad?? Can anybody help me please?

It would appear that your main breaker may be internally stuck on one side. This is not a job for a novice D-I-Y to replace.

You have to coordinate with the power company to get the meter pulled in order to safely replace that breaker.

Time to call in a licensed electrician.
