I have purchased a battery powered back-up sump pump for my sump pit (Basement Watchdog BWE), but was curious about installation. The current discharge pipe goes to a 90 immediately after the lid, check-valve on the way over to the wall, another 90 up the wall, and another 90 that leads straight out of the house (15-20 feet). All of the diagrams for installation have the PVC going straight up out of the sump pit (alleviating two 90s), but none like mine. Should I leave this and just put a Y and a 45 in the backup to connect to the current discharge against the wall? Should I reroute the existing so it looks similar to these diagrams?
Imaged attached, I think.

Bends like that is like adding feet to the pipe. Depending on the max lift of the pump it maybe within limits. Doing away with them would make it easier on the pump and may give it more life.
