Hello to All!

This is my first time here. I'm happy to be a member!

Anyway, my project is to run an electrical line to the second floor of a two family house to the bedroom via the basement, I chase and through the attic to the other side of the house; then drill down through the floor of the attic into the bedroom and run the line and outlets.

The attic space is a full attic with exposed Ceiling Joists that are too high to be reached without a latter. I was wondering if I could use Romex Wire, NM-B 12/2 for the entire run?

My location is New York. Thank you.

Some areas in NY do not accept NM as a legal wiring method. Check with your building officials.
