I'm building a grarage using box trusses, in order to put a small apartment upstairs. I would like to build a balcony off the gable end side of the apartment using the cantilever design (I don't want to use support post). Is it possible to do this if my floor joists (which are the bottoms to my truss) are running perpendicalar to where the balcony will extend?

it is possible. but your balcony joist need to extend back into the building.

If i was framing my second floor normally this would be an option, but I am using a box truss, so the floor joists are already built (since they are part of the trusses), do the truss companies have some way to build their box trusses with this option, or would i have to modify the trusses after I get them from the factory?

That would be the question to ask the truss company.

you frame with trusses the same way you frame with joists.
if your truses are already built, then that what you have.
they can be cut and modified but i could not explain that over a computer and with out seeing everything.
sounds like you should have thought of this before ordering the trusses
