What is the best way to attach a temporary dock to a wooden seawall. This is a fresh water application but the level of the water does vary from year to year so the height needs to be adjustable.

I'd attach to anchors/ pins behind the wooden wall, rather than the wall itself,....

Not a floating dock, but it's taken out every year. Attaching behind the seawall is not practical because there is a deck which runs up to the edge of the seawall.

Right now the solution sounds right but has not been proven. When I have proven that it works, I will post the solution with pictures.
