I recently moved into a new house and do not know if I need to replace one of the posts on my deck. They are 6 X 6 pressure treated posts that are holding a sunroom. One post has about 7 knots in it and is also checking. I have attached photos. Any advice would be great.

Are they solid or springy when you push/hit them? The pictures don't look alarming to me...

Have a question, is post sitting on a foundation? or just a piece of wood?

As far as knots in the wood, that not a problem.

In the first picture it looks as if the post is sitting up from the concrete on a 3/4" plywood base, must have been the way the footer was formed, hence the question.

Looks fine, it would be a bit of a pain to replace but easily doable if it bothers you that much.
