Architectural/Floor Layout Software

Is anyone familiar with a small cheap 3D software package that can be used to display residential layouts? Outside as well as inside. I want to do some floor layouts and 3D renderings. This is just for sketching ideas. It doesn't need to be a full blown, multi-thousand dollar architectural package with estimating, project planning, electrical and plumbing. I just want to show the wife what different ideas look like.
