I've only installed one Maax shower unit, but I was not impressed with the quality of it. Their doors are OK, but the shower itself was really flimsy. Where others (like Sterling, Aquaglass etc) mold in blocks and backers to make the walls more stiff and resist flexing, Maax expects the installer to strategically place wood blocks on the studs behind the fiberglass to keep it from flexing if someone leans against it. (and if there's no stud in the exact location where they're telling you a block should be, then you have to bridge between studs to support the blocks that support the unit!)
