Just to follow up because I wasn’t clear in my original post and want to make sure the advice still applies;

I’m looking to seal the actual wall cavity not necessarily the hole in the vanity. Reason being is I was seeing some insects (centipedes) in that area. Not sure if the advice changes based on above?

The advice of using plywood to seal the opening is the best advice in this thread. Once the plywood is installed, you could use caulk to seal the smaller openings which will keep out the insects.
