Hi all,

I need to replace one of my lawn sprinkler valves. The original is made by Hunter. Are there advantages to using Hunter over say Rainbird or any of the other manufacturers I see at Home Depot?

I would get your valves from an irrigation or plumbing supply store, not a box store. You will have better quality options.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a forum that discusses valves? That way I know which one to get and make it last. The rain bird lasted only 3 years. The hunter did better lasting 9. But if there's even a better brand I'd buy that so o don't have to swap to them out or have my family pay someone to do it if I'm no longer around.
